The Toledo Chapter of NAWIC was chartered in 1980 with 22 members. Over the years, we have more than doubled membership. Members are from the construction, architectural, engineering, bonding, real estate, and banking industries. Our focus is on education and networking and, to that end, we provide monthly meetings with interesting speakers on any number of topics.
Nationally, NAWIC has a membership of 5,800 with close to 200 chapters in almost every U.S. State and in Canada. Since 1996, NAWIC has seen its core purpose grow internationally, with the signing of International Affiliation agreements with NAWIC-Australia, NAWIC-New Zealand, South African Women in Construction, and most recently with NAWIC-United Kingdom. In its nearly 50 years of service to its membership, NAWIC has advanced the causes of all women in construction from tradeswomen to business owners.
