2006 Un-Style Show - Scholarship Fund Raiser
The Toledo Chapter of NAWIC holds a fund raiser each year for the Scholarship Program and general fund. This year's event was Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Main Library in Downtown Toledo, Ohio. The event will be great fun with food, entertainment, and raffles. Contact Cathy Krueger at Brooks Insurance for more details at 419.254.7438.
WIC Week
March 4-10, 2007 marks the National Women in Construction week. Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has signed a proclamation declaring March 4-10, 2007 as WIC Week in Toledo, Ohio.
- Scholarships – The Toledo Chapter has given college scholarships to construction-related students in our area yearly since 1987. To date, we have awarded over $135,000 in scholarships.
- Block Kids – An elementary school design competition to increase awareness of the construction industry career potentials.
- CAD/Design Drafting – A high school level competition to increase awareness.
- Adopt-A-Highway – Donating our time and efforts to this community effort.
- Other Programs – Donations to needy families and many other projects.
